I have been playing Bretonnians since 7th, which isn't as long as some of you, but even I have my ears perk up at rumors that a new book "might" be in the works. Even I can dream of what the future might mean for Bretonnia.I tend not to listen to the rumors, I am of the mind set that until it is published and on the shelf, as a result I couldn't even begin to guess what is being said. Doesn't mean I don't have wishes.
Wish List-keep in mind these are my opinions:
- New Hippogryph would be cool, I love the looks of the 8th Ed monsters and would love to see our one monster in the same style.
- Fey Enchantress. She's a nice looking model but she doesn't even have a proper base size. Just a good model refresh, her skills are great as is.
- Pegasus. What is with the fluff being better than the models? Aloof, proud, able to take on armies on their own with the flexibility of hit and run tactics, I so can't believe they are such pansies. Don't get me wrong they are good and I use mine regularly but they do not pack as much of a punch as I would expect, and being limited to one unit unless there is a Lord on peg makes then less useful. A refresh of the models would be good to get them on par with other monstrous cavalry.
- Cavalry. Seriously disappointed that once 8th Ed hit that our cavalry, which is supposedly bred warhorses superior to all others and now we aren't even second best in ability. Would love to see them improved.
- Grail knights could use an overhaul. They are the type of unit I expect to be survivable and equal in their skills and abilities as a chaos juggernaut. These are the guys who have found the Grail, drank from the cup...yet they are as weak as an Errant knight.
- Banner of the Lady. Would love to see thus negate steadfast, then it might actually prove useful again.
Overall they just need to tweak a few things so the rules flow better with 8th.
That's just the opinion of me and the stuff I can think of at the moment.
Is there anything you want to see?
